Shane Watson scored an unbeaten 110 against India Masters

Australia Masters in their ongoing match against India in Vadodara have posted a mammoth after India Masters won the toss and opted to bowl first. India Masters have won their first three games heading into this contest.

Meanwhile, the Australian Masers are placed fifth on the points table with two back to back losses. They need a win to stay relevant in this tournament.

After being put into bat first on a placid Vadorara wicket, the Australian Masters took full advantage of the conditions. Shane Watson and Ben Duck have both scored unbeaten centuries to power Australia to 269/1 in their 20 overs which is the highest score posted batting first in this tournament so far.

India Masters Need 270 To Win Against Australia Masters

This was a match where the Indian bowlers were taken to the cleaners. Former Indian pacer Vinay Kumar gave away runs at an economy rate of nearly 20. Just one Australian wicket fell in their entire innings as their batters were ruthless against the Indian bowlers.

This was a rate off day for the entire Indian bowling attack where none of them were able to fetch wickets. Sachin Tendulkar the Indian skipper had ran out of ideas as he saw the Australian batters take on the Indian bowlers.

Finally, they posted 269/1 on the board with Ben Dunk finishing unbeaten on 132 and skipper Shane Watson finishing unbeaten on 110. Since the dismissal of Shaun Marsh (22 off 15) in the fifth over, the duo have added an unbeaten stand of 236 runs in 93 deliveries. Overall, the Australian batters hit 28 fours and 17 sixes. The Indian bowlers also conceded five extras to help Australia post a mammoth total.

India Masters are unbeaten in the tournament so far and to continue their winning run, they need to score 270 in 20 overs at a required NRR of nearly 14 runs per over.
