Sunrisers Hyderabad has signed South African international Wiaan Mulder as a replacement for the injured English player Brydon Carse. Both players are accomplished batters and offer pace bowling options. Brydon Carse was considered one of the most promising talents in English cricket, rapidly rising through the ranks. He was even included in the provisional squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy, but his injury has unfortunately ruled him out of the tournament.
Sunrisers Hyderabad acquired Brydon Carse for 1.2 crores at the auction. Unfortunately, Carse has also been ruled out of the IPL2025 tournament due to an injury. The runners-up of the previous season have brought in Wiaan Mulder to fill the void left by Carse.

Mulder had an impressive 50-over season, excelling with both bat and ball, and he took 6 wickets during the Champions Trophy. Initially, he registered with a base price of 75 lakhs but went unsold as no franchise was willing to bid on the Proteas all-rounder.
However, after demonstrating significant success in international matches and the SA20 league, Wiaan Mulder has now been picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
