UP Warriorz (UPW) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in the ongoing Women's Premier League (WPL) on Thursday, March 6 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. UPW are coming off a massive 81-run loss against Gujarat Giants (GG). The Deepti Sharma-led UPW have managed to win just two games from the six games. Their playoff hopes are hanging by a thread. The game against MI is a must-win game for the side UPW, as a defeat will virtually knock them out of the playoff race.
Meanwhile, MI are currently placed third on the points table with six points. After winning two games on the bounce in the Bengaluru leg of WPL, the UPW have started on a disastrous note at their home ground in Lucknow. Worst, an 81-run loss to GG has severely taken a hit on the net run rate. Not only do UPW need to win by a big margin, but they also need to win all of the three games left in the WPL 2025 campaign. UPW's batting has let them down in these four losses they have suffered. Middle-order batters like Deepti Sharma, Grace Harris, and Uma Chetry have blown hot and cold so far.

Sciver-Burnt has led from the front with 272 runs from five games. The star all-rounder has also chipped in with wickets in hand upfront. MI has a chance to go second on the points table if they manage a win against UPW.
