Sri Lanka Masters defeated the West Indies Masters convincingly by 21 runs in the 10th match of the International Masters League T20 2025 scheduled at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara. The West Indies Masters were given a target of 174 runs.
The West Indies opener Chadwick Walton departed early in the run-chase for a golden duck as Isuru Udana send him back the dressing room. Dwayne Smith and Narsingh Deonarine formed a 59-run partnership but the Sri Lanka bowlers kept the scoring-rate in check.
Chaturanga de Silva disturbed the woodwork to dismiss Dwayne Smith, who scored 49 runs off 43 deliveries. Soon after, Deonarine got run-out.
Jonathan Carter struck a few boundaries to review the West Indies' hopes. However, the required rate continued to climb. Eventually, Carter too perished at the hands of Jeevan Mendis.
Lendl Simmons batted through the innings but his struggle was evident. The West Indies Masters ended up at 152/5 in their 20 overs, losing by 21 runs.

Asela Gunaratne Takes Sri Lanka to Competitive 173/9
Put in to bat first, Sri Lanka's innings were given the wings by Asela Gunaratne, who smashed a 45-ball 64. He was well aided by his captain Kumar Sangakkara, who scored 47 runs off 42 balls.
Ashley Nurse was the pick of the bowlers for the West Indies. He conceded just 23 runs in this four-over spell and bagged three wickets.
With this win, Sri Lanka retain their second position on the points table. This is their third straight victory in the tournament. On the other hand, the West Indies faced their first loss.
