Shama Mohamed Reacts Following India's Champions Trophy 2025 Victory, After Her Body-Shaming Remarks on Rohit Sharma

Congress leader Shama Mohammed congratulated India and Rohit Sharma for winning the Champions Trophy 2025 on her X (formerly Twitter) handle. Shama Mohammed has been trending across the nation for her earlier criticism and body shaming of Rohit Sharma, which occurred two weeks prior. 

Following her remarks, she faced significant backlash from his fans on social media, and even some BCCI officials criticized her behavior and lack of discipline. Although she later issued a sincere apology for her actions, the incident remained a topic of media discussion for quite some time.

After India won the Champions Trophy 2025, Shama Mohammed was quick to extend her congratulations to the Champions on her Twitter handle.

India secured the trophy in just nine months, defeating New Zealand in Dubai to clinch their third Champions Trophy. It was a remarkable night for the players and billions of supporters who celebrated the victory like a festival across the country. 

This win was particularly special as the team went through the tournament unbeaten, despite losing all the tosses. India impressed by first restricting New Zealand to 251 runs and then winning the match comfortably by four wickets in the 49th over.

Rohit Sharma was awarded the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance, scoring 78 runs off 83 balls and giving India a strong start in the chase. The Indian players celebrated in style, wearing white blazers, marking an emphatic night for the Indian cricket team as they added their seventh ICC trophy to their cabinet.
