Babar Azam, leading the Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025), has had a hard time in the tournament so far. The former Pakistan skipper has failed to get going in the tournament.
In this edition of the PSL so far, Babar has scored 49 runs across four games, with his first three scores in single digits. Babar scored a duck, 1 run and 2 runs in his first three games before scoring 46 runs in a losing cause against Karachi Kings.
He has had a series of low scores in international cricket as well before heading into PSL 2025. He looks to be in no sort of form whatsoever with the bat. He was really struggling in the first three games, and his knock in the fourth game should give him a little bit of confidence.

Babar Azam's First Three Scores In PSL 2025
Meanwhile, the Peshawar Zalmi skipper registered an unwanted record in the PSL as he scored his ninth duck in the league earlier in the season. Babar Azam scored a duck in the first game against Quetta Gladiators, which was the ninth of his PSL career. No other batter has scored more ducks in the league than the former Pakistan skipper. Imad Wasim and Wahab Riaz have scored 12 ducks in the league but not as captains.

Peshawar Zalmi are placed fourth in the PSL 2025 points table with just one win from four games. They started with back-to-back losses, won against Multan Sultans by 120 runs, and lost their next match against Karachi Kings by two wickets. The side has six more league games remaining and is now in must-win territory to make it to the playoffs. Meanwhile, as per multiple media reports, Babar is earning 1.88 crores from the franchise in the PSL 2025 season.
Talking about Babar's struggles in international cricket, his last fifty-plus score for Pakistan in ODI cricket was against New Zealand in the final ODI of the three-match series that Pakistan lost. His last ODI century was against Nepal in the 2023 Asia Cup when he scored 151 runs off 131 balls as Pakistan beat Nepal by 238 runs in the first match of the tournament.
