MI lost their last league game to RCB Women and ended up second on the points table. Delhi Capitals topped the points table and qualified for the WPL 2025 final directly.
Gujarat Giants, on the other hand, lost their last league game to the Mumbai Indians and finished third on the points table. They are yet to win against MI Women in the WPL history so far and the side are looking to change the script in the Eliminator.
The winner of this Eliminator clash will face the Delhi Capitals women in the final on Saturday. This is the first time that the Gujarat Giants have entered the playoffs while MI Women have qualified for three back to back seasons.

Statistically, Gujarat Giants have never beaten Mumbai Indians women in the IPL. The two sides have played six matches and MI have won all six matches against GG maintaining a 100 percent win record. MI defeated GG by five wickets in the first game of the season. The reverse fixture was much closely fought with GG falling short by just 11 runs.
MI have a far more experienced side when compared to that with GG. Nat Sciver-Brunt is the leading run-scorer in this season so far and is in red-hot form. MI skipper Harmanpreet Kaur is always a key player in bug games. Their bowling attack is also much more settled with Shabnim Ismail leading the attack.
For Gujarat Giants, a lot rests on how skipper Ash Gardner performs in the match. She is among the top all-rounders in the WPL and in world cricket at the moment.
