Jasprit Bumrah has been awarded the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year award, also known as the Sir Garfield Sobers Award, following a record-breaking year in International cricket. Bumrah's exceptional performances in 2024 have solidified his place among the greats, making him only the fifth Indian cricketer to win this prestigious honor after Virat Kohli, R. Ashwin, Rahul Dravid, and Sachin Tendulkar.

Bumrah’s return from injury in early 2024 has been nothing short of remarkable. Despite the Indian team’s struggles, he became the man for the job, delivering game-changing performances when needed most. His leadership in the absence of Rohit Sharma during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy was crucial in keeping India competitive. Bumrah helped lead India to an important victory over Australia in the first Test at Perth, earning the Player of the Match award.
