Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill has put an end to speculation about his personal life, declaring he has been single for over three years and is fully committed to his cricketing career.
In an exclusive interview with Hollywood Reporter India, the 25-year-old addressed persistent rumors linking him romantically with high-profile figures, including Sara Tendulkar, daughter of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, and Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan.
The rumours have been swirling for quite some time now with fans and media speculating about Shubman Gill’s relationships, leading to playful crowd chants.
Former New Zealand cricketer and commentator Danny Morrison cheekily asked Gill about "wedding bells" during the toss of GT’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), to which the young skipper blushed and replied, "No, nothing of that sort." The exchange went viral, further fueling public curiosity.

Shubman Gill Clears Air on Dating Rumours
Gill spoke about his relationship status, confirming that he is single. He opened up on his personal life, sharing that he is committed to playing cricket and does not have time to invest in a relationship at the moment.
"I mean, I've been single for over three years. There have been so many speculations and rumours, linking me with different people. And sometimes, it's so ridiculous that I would have never even seen or met that person ever in my life. And I would be hearing rumours that, I'm with this person and this person where else I'd be like," Gill said as quoted in an interview.
"Like, I know I'm so focused on what I need to do in my professional career. There is no space in my life to be with someone like 300 days a year. We are on the road travelling somewhere. So there is hardly any time to be able to be with someone or invest, you know, the time to be with someone in a relationship," he added.
Further, he talked about the crowd chants linking him to various prominent celebrities, stating that he does not get distracted by it when he is in the zone.
"I've told this many times, but I don't know it's like an automatic switch. I don't think any batter can hear those chants. It's like it's hard for me to explain. But when you're in the zone, you can't hear people chanting or anything. You are so focused on the job that is there for you to finish. You're so focused on okay, this bowler is bowling at me. This is how much we need to score or these are the things that I need to do," Gill noted.
Gill remains laser-focused on leading Gujarat Titans to the Indian Premier League (IPL) glory. Under his captaincy, the team has surged to the top of the IPL 2025 points table, boasting 12 points from eight matches.
Gill’s stellar batting form, with 305 runs at an average of 43.57 and a strike-rate of 153.27, has been instrumental in GT’s dominant campaign. His leadership has drawn praise for its calmness and composure, with GT securing a convincing victory against KKR recently.
