Australian Cricket Team captain Pat Cummins is currently in India, playing the ongoing 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025). The pace bowler is the skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Its been over 15 years that the 31-year-old has been visiting India, either for IPL or playing for bilateral series. Cummins calls India his second home and is in love with the country's rich heritage, culture, history, and cuisine. The SRH captain loves India's energetic cities like Mumbai and Delhi.
So much is Cummins's love for India that earlier this year his whole extended family was here for their first-ever trip to India. However, the fast bowler has one wish after freshly being appointed as the advocate for the Australian Tourism Board. Cummins is very excited about showcasing the country's beauty, culture, and its insane passion for sports. However, on top of his list is to plan a dream itinerary for Indian cricketer Virat Kohli.

Often the Australian cricket fans love Virat Kohli and can relate to him as he comes across as extremely competitive, aggressive, and has a winning mental attitude. The former Indian captain also loves playing in Australia, as he has scored many centuries across formats in Down Under. Cummins, who gets along with Kohli well, wants to include a dream itinerary for his good mate, which has a mix of cricket, adventure, culture, and relaxation.
"This itinerary would offer a blend of cricket, adventure, culture, and relaxation, with experiences in some of Australia's most iconic locations," Cummins said to TOI.

For the majority of foreign cricketers, Indian cuisine has become their favorite owing to the diverse dishes that each city offers. Naturally, Cummis is no different, as he is also a huge fan of Indian cuisine. However, on top of his list is Mumbai's Pav Bhajji. Such is SRH captain's love for Pav Bhajji that whenever he is in Mumbai, he always makes it a point to eat it. Besides this dish, Pat Cummins is also a big fan of butter chicken and naan, as well as a variety of vegetarian options like dal and paneer dishes.

Naturally, with such a huge fan following across India and Australia comes the media scrutiny. Like in India, Australian media also can get sometimes nasty. Cummins, though, deals with it in a very pragmatic approach and does not let negativity distract him.

“The media, especially in a cricket-loving nation like Australia, can be unforgiving, so I take a pragmatic approach, and as a public figure, I understand it’s part of the package. I don’t let negativity distract me and appreciate the importance of keeping things in perspective, good or bad.”
