MI are taking on KKR in their first home game in IPL 2025 at the Wankhede Stadium currently. Mumbai Indians lost their first two games heading into this game and at the moment have KKR reeling in their first 10 overs. The

MI skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first. KKR lost the wickets of Sunil Narine (0) and Quinton de Kock (1 off 3) in the first two overs. Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar both struck in their first overs respectively.

The big wicket of Ajinkya Rahane (11 runs off 7 balls) was taken by Ashwani Kumar who is making his debut in the IPL for Mumbai Indians. The bowling in the first 10 hours has been disciplined by the MI bowlers. Eventually, they lost four wickets inside the powerplay for just 41 runs.

The MI players headed into this game with a sense of urgency and intent and their bowlers have delivered so far in the first 10 overs. The average first innings score at the Wankhede Stadium is atleast 200. However, KKR, with five wickets dow,n cannot seemingly reach that target.

In the final set of 10 overs, KKR will need to revise their target and aim to get atleast between 150-170. KKR even used Manish Pandey as their impact sub as they lost five wickets inside the powerplay. This means that they cannot use Vaibhav Arora who was the possible impact sub option when the Knight Riders bowl. Angkrish Raghuvanshi (26 runs off 16 balls) failed to convert his good start and Venkatesh Iyer (3 runs off 9 balls) failed for the very first time against MI.

Heading into this game, the Knight Riders had won five out of their last six games against Mumbai Indians. However, they did not have the start they would have liked in this match so far and will need to make it up with the likes of Andre Russell and Ramandeep Singh to come in the final overs.

"We are gonna bowl first, looks like a good track. Knowing Wankhede, dew may or may not come in. There might be some early swing, it plays well so we thought chasing is a good option. We want to get into good rhythm and kickstart. Overall, we want to play better cricket, we need to stay calm. Will Jacks comes back and we have a debutant - Ashwani Kumar" said Hardik at the toss as he made the right call with his changes it looks like.
