MS Dhoni - one of the biggest names in Indian cricket, has once again stolen the headlines. While Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was handed a 50-run defeat by Royal Challengers Bengaluru, MS Dhoni, however, went on to break a stellar record in IPL history.
One name that always resonates with CSK is MS Dhoni. Yesterday, against RCB, the former India and CSK captain played a superb cameo in the end, scoring 30 runs from 16 balls, hammering 3 fours and 2 sixes.

With this, MS Dhoni has gone on to become the highest run getter ever for Chennai Super Kings in IPL history. The superstar went past Suresh Raina and now leads the charts for the Yellow Army.
If runs are to be compared, Suresh Raina has 4687 runs to his name from 176 games. MS Dhoni now has 4699 runs under his belt from 236 matches.
Cometh the hour, Cometh MS Dhoni for CSK
MS Dhoni delivered when his team needed him the most. But it wasn't enough for the hosts. At the Chepauk, it was RCB who went on to showcase their might. Batting first, the visitors went on to amass a huge target of 196 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
Captain Rajat Patidar led from the front, hammering a brilliant knock of 51 runs from 32 deliveries. Phil Salt began his rampage from the very first over, while Tim David added the fireworks at the end.
Chennai Super Kings, however, fumbled under pressure. They went on to lose wickets at regular intervals. The hosts failed to stitch big partnerships as Josh Hazlewood, with his three-wicket haul, came down heavily on the opposition.
Finally, at 7 wickets down, MS Dhoni came out to the crease and was met with a rousing reception. He took a couple of deliveries to settle before unleashing his barrage of shots. His knock came a bit too late as CSK lost their match to RCB at Chepauk after 16 long years.
