Former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson will don a new avatar in IPL 2025 after going unsold in the mega auction. The season kicks off from March 22 at Eden Gardens and Williamson will be seen in a new role.
The cricketer who has taken New Zealand cricket to new heights will now be seen as an expert at Star Sports for the KKR vs RCB match. He will be working as an expert throughout the season as per reports.
Williamson will be a part of the English commentators for Star Sports in IPL 2025. He will be seen commentating on the game alongside some of teh most reputed names in the world of commentary.

Williamson will be a part of the English commentary team for the KKR vs RCB opener in IPL 2025. He will be seen alongside other names like Ravi Shastri, Ian Bishop, Harsha Bhogle, Kane Williamson, Eoin Morgan, Sunil Gavaskar, Matthew Hayden presiding over the game.
The hindi commentary team for the KKR vs RCB coverage will have a a few former Indian cricketers ccalling the game along with expert commentators like Aakash Chopra and Navjot Singh Sindhu.
Williamson after playing in the IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans in his career did not find a franchise in the IPL 2025 mega auction. However, he will be among the contenders to find a bidder is the franchises require an overseas batter.
Talking about his stats in the IPL, Williamson has played 79 matches in total, scoring 2128 runs with 18 fifty-plus scores. His career-best is 84.
