Shane Watson and Ben Dunk led the Australian batting attack with outstanding performances, both scoring centuries and forming a record partnership. They dominated the Indian bowlers, combining for a staggering 17 sixes and 28 fours throughout the innings.

India Masters' opening batsmen, Sachin Tendulkar and Naman Ojha, made a strong start, reaching 60 runs within the first five overs. However, they lost Ojha soon after. Despite losing partners, Sachin continued to score freely and managed to accumulate 64 runs off 33 balls before being dismissed by Xavier Doherty. With his departure, India's hopes dwindled as the tail-enders contributed a few runs but could not save the innings, leading to an all-out score of 174.
Ben Dunk was named Player of the Match for his impressive innings of 132 runs off 53 balls. With this significant victory, Australia Masters registered their first points of the tournament and moved up to 4th position in the points table. Despite the heavy defeat, India Masters maintained their position at the top of the table with a healthy net run rate.Â
