Tamim Iqbal Heart Attack Update

An important update on Tamim Iqbal's health has resurfaced after the former Bangladesh skipper had a heart attack on Monday. The Bangladesh skipper was leading his side in a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) game when the unfortunate incident happened.

Tamim was captaining the Mohammedan Sporting Club against Shinepukur Cricket Club in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League (DPL) at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan in Savar, about 28 km from the capital city of Dhaka.

He underwent an angioplasty on Tuesday and since then has been kept under observation at the KPJ Hospital. He was attended by Cardiologist Dr. Moniruzzaman Maruf, who performed his surgery and brought him back to stability. This was after Tamim complained of chest pain and was immediately rushed to the hospital.

“We were studying his heart’s function through an echocardiograph this morning. It shows everything is alright, as if there is no problem,” Chowdhury said in quotes carried by the Prothom Alo newspaper in Bangladesh.
“But we must remember that this is a veil. An abnormal beat could be there again,” he further said.

The news about Tamim's heart attack went viral on social media as soon as the unfortunate incident happened. His fans and the entire cricket fraternity has been wishing for his speedy recovery. The southpaw was overwhelmed by the response from his fans and thanked them for their wishes.
