India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan’s hopes of reclaiming a spot on the BCCI’s central contracts list have been dealt another blow with reports suggesting he will be overlooked for the 2025-26 season.
Despite smashing a century for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 opener versus Rajasthan Royals (RR), Kishan’s absence from international cricket since November 2023 continues to cast a shadow over his name in the to-be-released BCCI central contracts list.
Kishan, who was dropped from the central contracts last year alongside Shreyas Iyer for skipping domestic matches, is yet to regain the trust of the BCCI. While Iyer has bounced back with a stellar Champions Trophy performance to secure his return, Kishan’s road to redemption remains rocky.
