As the 2025 Champions Trophy approaches, new issues have arisen, particularly with the involvement of India and Pakistan once again. This time, the controversy centers around the matter of India's jersey. Initially, it was reported that India had refused to include Pakistan's name on their kit. However, the International Cricket Council (ICC) intervened and took control of the situation.Â
The ICC initially stated that they would consider BCCI’s request at a later stage, but soon after, the governing body released a strict regulation requiring all participating teams to feature the host nation's name on their jerseys. This rule ultimately led to the BCCI agreeing to add Pakistan's name to their kit.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that India will follow the International Cricket Council's (ICC) uniform guidelines for the 2025 Champions Trophy.
