Virat Kohli's message to RCB Women

Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli who has been associated with the RCB franchise ever since its inception in the IPL, sent the RCB Women's team a message ahead of their season opener against Gujarat Titans.

RCB Women won the match against the Gujarat Giants by six wickets in the first game of the season. It was a high-scoring thriller in Vadodara with the RCB side chasing 202 to win.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli who will lead off to playing in the Champions Trophy in Pakistan sent a message to the women's team. Notably, the RCB Women's team are the defending champions of the WPL title having won the title last season. Kohli's message was the perfect moral booster the side needed ahead of their big clash against the Giants.

Go Out There, Express Yourself- Kohli To RCB Women

Ahead of the WPL 2025, former Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain, Virat Kohli conveyed his best wishes to RCB women's side.

“It's amazing what you did last year, and I hope you continue to ride that momentum. With the load of winning the title already off your back, go out there, express yourself, and enjoy the support from fans across India'. Kohli said in a video uploaded on RCB's Twitter handle.
"There’s no shortage of talent as we had seen last year as well. I’m sure that with the load off your back already of winning the title, you will go out there and express yourselves and enjoy the support you get from fans all over India. I wish you all the very best for the upcoming season," he added.

RCB chasing 202 to win won with nine balls to spare with wickekeeper-batsman Richa Gosh played a match-winning cameo of an unbeaten 64 off 27 deliveries. Elysse Perry previously scored 57 off 34 in the chase. It was a perfect match and gave an insight as to what is to come in this WPL season.

Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers Bangalore also announced their captain for IPL 2025. Rajat Patidar was named as the captain for IPL 2025. The announcement was made by the franchise at an event at the KSCA on Thursday (February 13). Kohli sent him his best wishes as well after his appointment as the skipper of the season.

"Rajat, firstly, I want to congratulate you. Wish you all the very best. Thank you for the way you have grown in this franchise and the way you have performed. You have really made a place in the hearts of all the fans of RCB all over India. And they get really excited to watch you play. So, this is very well deserved. And to tell you that myself and the other team members will be right behind you. And you will have all our support to grow into this role," said Kohli in a video message at the press conference.
