RR vs KKR Toss Updates & Playing 11: IPL 2025 Match 6; Ajinkya Rahane Opts to Bowl

The sixth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will see Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) battle it out at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on March 26, Wednesday. Both teams are stuck near the bottom of the points table after messy starts. This game could lift them out of the rut and get their campaigns rolling.

RR’s first match was a rough one against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Ishan Kishan hammered his first IPL hundred, pushing SRH to a huge total of 286/6. Rajasthan’s bowlers could not stop the onslaught. While their batters fared well, they just could not achieve the mountain of a target and lost by 44 runs. 

KKR, the defending champions, also tripped up in their opener at the Eden Gardens. They scored just 174 while batting first, and Virat Kohli’s steady, unbeaten fifty helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) chase it down easily, winning by seven wickets.

RR, led by Guwahati’s own Riyan Parag, have the home fans behind them and a big chance to shine. KKR, with Ajinkya Rahane at the helm, want to bring back the spark that made them Champions last year.

Kolkata Knight Riders win the toss and opt to bowl. They make two changes. Moeen Ali and Vaibhav Arora replace Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi. For RR, Sanju Samson and Wanindu Hasaranga come in place of Shubham Dubey and Fazalhaq Farooqi.
