Just 11 days ahead of the Champions Trophy, Pakistan have unveiled the renovated Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. With reports surfacing that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) missed the deadline of refurbished stadiums, Pakistan, for now, silenced the doubters by managing to share the first images of the stadium. The renovation work took 117 days to complete. Among the various changes are LED floodlights, larger score screens, new hospitality boxes, and upgraded seating.
Champions Trophy is set to begin on February 19, but ahead of the global tournament, an ODI Tri-Series will be played between Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa. The first match will be played in the new look Gaddafi Stadium. Pakistan skipper Mohammad Rizwan and New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner posed for photos amid the backdrop of Lahore stadium.

Besides Rizwan, the rest of the Pakistan teammates were also present at the unveiling of the Gadaffi stadium.
"We are going to show the world that we are good hosts," Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said at the ceremony.
PCB gets the stadium ready in nick of the time
For the unversed, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) were supposed to make the stadiums ready by end of January first week. However, they missed on those deadlines, and requested a new deadline of stadiums by January 31. Still, Karachi Stadium is not ready, and reports are emerging that President Asif Ali Zardari will inaugurate the Karachi Stadium on Tuesday.
Meanwhile work is still pending in Rawalpindi stadium as labourers were seen doing some spray work beside seats.
