The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has responded to Khushdil Shah’s confrontation with spectators at Bay Oval, expressing strong condemnation of the incident. The PCB was unhappy with Khushdil Shah's interactions with spectators, citing inappropriate language and behavior.
A statement from the Pakistan team management issued on Saturday said,
"The Pakistan cricket team management has strongly condemned the abusive language directed at national players by foreign spectators."

The incident occurred after the match when two Afghan spectators blamed Khushdil Shah for the team's poor performance, despite his efforts during the game. They also directed hateful comments towards the rest of the players.
During the match, foreign spectators hurled inappropriate remarks at the cricketers on the field, and when anti-Pakistan slogans surfaced, Khushdil Shah intervened, urging the spectators to refrain from such behavior. After intervention from PCB officials, stadium security quickly removed the spectators.
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) also confirmed the incident, noting that two spectators were immediately ejected from Bay Oval.

In the end, Pakistan lost the series 3-0, losing their final match by 43 runs. Despite the team showing some promise, they were unable to overcome New Zealand, who did not field their full-strength squad for this series. Captain Mohammad Rizwan stated that they are now looking forward to the Pakistan Super League(PSL) set to begin on April 11.
