Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) could not finish on a strong note as Kuldeep Yadav helped Delhi Capitals (DC) come back into the contest by picking up crucial wickets of Rishabh Pant (0), and Ayush Badoni (4). These two crucial blows helped DC restrict LSG to 209 for the loss of eight wickets. At one stage, when Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran were batting a 250 score looked a possibility, but DC halted LSG's progress by picking wickets at regular intervals.
First up, they dismissed Marsh for (72) runs, and then they got the all-important wicket of Pooran for (75) runs. While both these batters struck at a strike rate over 200, the rest of the batters struggled for timing throughout the innings. With the pitch showing no signs of slowing down, LSG would be bitterly disappointed with their efforts, especially in the back end of the innings.

For DC, Kuldeep was the pick of the bowler, as he picked up (2/20) in his four overs. Skipper Axar Patel also managed to keep things tightly as he conceded just 18 runs in three overs.

LSG fail to make use of the bright start provided by Pooran & Marsh
With over 100 runs scored at the halfway mark, it was up to the LSG to make DC pay for some mediocre bowling and poor fielding. It was not to be though as DC head into a second innings as the happier side of the two. The Vizag pitch is flat and dew will also have some say, so DC batters will fancy to hunt this chase down.
