Pooran LSG vs DC

Mitchell Marsh, fresh from returning from a back injury put to sword the Delhi Capitals (DC) attack, as the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) opener raced to a 21-ball half-century at Vizag in the ongoing fourth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Marsh opened the batting alongside Aiden Markram & attacked from word go, as the Aussie kept peppering on the short ball offered by DC's new ball bowler Mitchell Starc. Marsh took on the fast bowler and made his intentions very clear, as LSG brought up fifty before the power play.

DC managed to pull things back briefly as they dismissed Markram for (15) runs. However, that did not stop Marsh from slowing things down. He continued his run-scoring way, and took on the DC's slow bowlers Axar Patel and Vipraj Nigam. Nicholas Pooran, who walked in at number three proved to be a perfect foil for Marsh, as the southpaw also kept attacking.

The Marsh-Pooran duo brought up fifty-run stand in less than 25 balls. With Vizag pitch being a belter of a track just like the Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad, the DC are in for a long haul.

Marsh & Pooran help LSG lay the foundation

The halfway mark is done and dusted, and with LSG losing just one wicket, Pooran and Marsh have laid the perfect foundation for the rest of the LSG batters to an explosive finish. Rishabh Pant, David Miller and Ayush Badoni are the batters to follow for LSG. They will definitely be eyeing 220 mark from the start they have got.

Meanwhile, DC will be seeking some quick wickets, and try to restrict LSG below the 200 run mark. Anything above that total will give LSG heading an advantage.
