Moeen Ali & Adil Rashid

Moeen Ali & Rashid Khan were seen in a never before avatar in a recent candid conversation during a podcast. The England stars were asked whether they would represent Pakistan in international cricket, and their replies are what made the podcast more interesting. Adil said that he would rather try to work it through the system in the country he was born than play for another country.

For Moeen, it was playing international cricket that mattered most, rather than the nation he would have played if given a choice.

"If I was born here I'd look to play if I was born in Pakistan if I born in India wherever I was born yeah surely that's the country that I will try and play for," Adil said when posed the question during Beard Before Wicket podcast.

The host of the show had a very different take than Adil & Moeen and said that he considers himself 'British-Asian' and would like to represent Pakistan over England, if given a choice. Moeen called the statement 'insane', while also saying that thought never came to his mind once.

Moeen Ali supports BCCI's decision, says banning Harry Brook from IPL correct one

Meanwhile, in the same podcast, Mooen was asked about BCCI's decision to ban Harry Brook for two years, to which the all-rounder seconded the board and said it was the right one.

"It's not (harsh) though, I kinda agree with it," Moeen said on the Beard Before Cricket podcast when asked whether a two-year ban would be harsh.
"A lot of people do that (withdrawing). People have done it in the past, and then they come back in and end up getting a better financial package or whatever it is. It kinda messes up a lot of things as well at the same time," the all-rounder said.

For the unversed, Brook pulled out of the IPL for the second straight time. On both the occasions, Delhi Capitals (DC) were the sufferers. DC are yet to name a replacement for the star England batter.
