A well-combined bowling effort from the Asian Stars bowlers ensured that they did not allow the Indian Royals to run away with the game in the final. The Royals were bowled out for 148 after they won the toss and opted to bat first.
However, it was the Aian Stars who had control of the match right from the start. They chipped in with wickets at regular intervals. The Royals were 37/3 at the end of the batting powerplay. They lacked any kin of momentum into the innings.
The momentum was provided by Sanjay Singh who scored 57 off just 29 balls. He hit six fours and three sixes and scored at a strike rate of nealy 200. He ran out of partners at the other hand as he took matters on his own hands. Sanjay was dismissed in the 17th over of the Royals innings with the score on 129/7. The lower-order could only muster less than 30 runs in the final overs. Finally, they were bowled out for 148 with the final wicket falling in the penultimate delivery of the match.

Indian Royals had A Tough Going In The Powerplay
For the Stars, it was a complete bowling performance with the bowlers chipping in. Former Indian all-rounder Rishi Dhawan took two wickets and former Sri Lankan sinner Dilshan Munaweera took two wickets as well. Former CSK pacer Ishwar Pandey took three wickets inside the powerplay and broke the back of the batting-order in the early overs.
The Stars now need 149 runs to win the Asian Legends League final. They have all the 20 overs to get these runs. They would have learned their lesson seeing the Royals batters on how to now bat on this wicket. Under lights in a final, the chase can be a tricky one. The weather has been perfect for the game so and the Asian Stars batters should back themselves to chase the target.
