The BCCI is set to announce the BCCI Central Contract of the players in a few days time. While senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja are set to be retained under the A+ contract, there are, however, other players who are most likely set for promotions.
Ace all-rounder Axar Patel is likely to be promoted to Grade A. The current vice captain of the T20I squad, Axar was placed under Grade B in the previous BCCI Central Contract. But his performances over the last year, coupled with his leadership abilities, have likely earned him a ticket for promotion.

Axar Patel has been a dependable and regular player for India across all three formats of the game. Under Gautam Gambhir's tenure as head coach, he was promoted as the vice captain of the T20I squad, while Suryakumar Yadav leads the side.
Only 4 players are likely to be retained under the A+ category in the BCCI Central Contract list. These include the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah.

Shreyas Iyer to return, Promotion for Yashasvi Jasiwal?
Among other news, Shreyas Iyer, who has been a rock for India in ODIs, is set to be included in the list after being snubbed last year. Reports indicate that there will be talks on Ishan Kishan too, who, like Iyer, was snubbed the previous year for failing to play domestic cricket.
Meanwhile, according to a report by The Times of India, young southpaw Yashasvi Jasiwal can get a promotion to Grade A after being a regular in the team. Pacer Akash Deep and middle-order batter Sarfaraz Khan too are likely to be included in the Grade C List.
