Punjab Kings courtesy of Prabhsimran Singh's unbeaten half-century has got a brilliant start to a chase of 172 in the match against Lucknow super Giants. Singh and his captain Shreyas Iyer has forged a brilliant partnership that is slowly taking LSG out of the game.
Singh has been particularly aggressive against both pace and spin and has put the Lucknow Super Giants on the backfoot very early. His shot selection has been very selective and pinpoint. He has played every shot to perfection so far with the bowlers not being able to gate on how to dismiss him.
The keeper-batters ominous form has been the highlight of the first 10 overs of the Punjab Kings chase. Priyansh Arya (8runs off 9 balls) was dismissed in the third over and since then it has been all about the partnership between Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh.

Meanwhile, the antics of Digvesh Rathi was one of the other highlights of the second innings. Rathi went to give Priyansh a hard send-off after dismissing him in the third over. The LSG bowlers have found it tough since then bowling to the Punjab wicketkeeper-batsman. In the first 10 overs itself, he has hit nine fours and three sixes. Prabhsimran fell in the first delivery of the 11th over. He was ultimately dismissed for 69 off 34 balls.
Previously, Lucknow Super Giants were restricted to 171/7 in their 20 overs. Nicholas Pooran (44 runs off 30 balls) and Ayush Badoni (41 runs off 33 balls) top-scored for the Super Giants in their innings. With the ball for Punjab Kings, Arshdeep Singh took three wickets. Barring Marcus Stoinis every other bowler picked up a wicket each.
