Mumbai Indians women takes on Delhi Capitals women in match 2 of WPL 2025 on Saturday at the Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara. The first six games of the tournament will be played in Vadodara.
In the opening match of the season, RCB Women defeated the Gujarat Giants in a high-scoring encounter. The Giants posted a giant score of 201 in 20 overs. RCB women chased it down with 9 balls to spare with Richa Ghosh scoring an unbeaten 64 off 27 deliveries.
Thus the tournament started on expected lines and much of the same is what the fans would like to see. The WPL has gained momentum and RCB's win in the last edition of the tournament finally broke their jinx of not winning a major T20 title. The men's side now has an opportunity to win their first IPL title as well.

WPL 2025: MI vs DC Match Preview
Both the teams are led by two very experienced international captains. Harmanpreet Kaur leads the MI Women while Meg Lanning is the skipper of the DC women. The MI side has been dealt with a huge blow as they will miss the all-round services of Puja Vastrakar throughout the season. Vastrakar has not yet fully recovered from an ankle ailment that has prevented her from playing since October 2024, according to a statement from MI. As her replacement, Parunika Sisodia has joined the Mumbai franchise.
Talking about the Delhi Capitals Women's side, they have a wily captain in Meg Lanning. In Shafali Varma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Radha Yadav, and Shikha Pandey they have a very good core of India players. In Jess Jonassen, Marizanne Kapp, Annabel Sutherland alongside Lanning, they have a very good core of experienced international players as well.
