MI vs DC Final Harman

It was a one-woman show in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 final as Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Harmanpreet Kaur led from the front by scoring a scintillating(66) runs off just 44 balls against Delhi Capitals (DC). It seemed like Kaur was batting on an altogether different surface, as the other batters around her struggled for timing. If not for the skipper's knock, MI would have struggled to cross even 100.

Inserted to bat, MI got off to an inauspicious start as they lost Yastika Bhatia (8), and Hayley Matthews (3) runs before the power play. DC's Marizanne Kapp dismissed both the batters and was simply superb in her four-over spell. The South African's spell upfront made MI struggle for boundaries as only 20 runs were scored in the first six overs. It seemed like DC would restrict MI below 120. However, Kaur had other ideas as she came with all guns blazing. The 34-year-old played attacking shots and gave the MI innings the much-needed impetus.

All-rounder Nat Sciver-Burnt (30) runs supported Kaur well as the duo put on 89-run stand for the fourth wicket. DC managed to pull things back well in the back end as Jonassen chipped in with two wickets in the middle overs.

MI fail to finish strongly, advantage DC in the run chase

It is no secret that at the Brabourne Stadium dew plays a huge role. With MI finishing below 150, DC will fancy their chances of going hard in the power play and try and put pressure on MI bowlers. With Shafali Verma, Meg Lanning, and Rodrigues in form, DC have advantage heading into second half.
