Yesha Sagar, the Indo-Canadian television anchor found herself involved in a major controversy in the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League. The league ended on February 7 with the Fortune Barishal being crowned champions.

The Fortune Barishal defeated the Chittagong Kings in the high-scoring final in Dhaka's Shere Bangla stadium. The game put curtains to hey another season of the Bangladesh Premier League.

Meanwhile, Yesha Sagar, who was engaged with the Chittagong Kings during the tournament has found herself in some trouble. She left the tournament midway after she took dramatic measures to quit the league after she was accused of breaking rules and was served a notice.

Chittagong Kings Owner's Comments On Yesha Sagar

According to reports, Samir Kader Chowdhury who is the franchise owner of Chittagong Kings, reportedly sent Sagar a legal notice for allegedly breaking terms in her contract. The Kings' owner sent her a legal notice after she reportedly did not attend the dinner with the official sponsors.

“As per clause 9 of the contract, you (Yesha) have failed to perform your duties and did not attend the dinner with the sponsors despite being officially invited. You also did not complete the sponsors’ shoot and promotional shout-out. Your absence has caused financial and reputational damage to the franchise (Chittagong Kings)" News 18 quoted Samir Kader Chowdhury as saying.

Who is Yesha Sagar?

Sagar originally hails from Punjab, India. She moved to Toronto, Canada, in December 2015, for advanced studies. Before becoming a sports broadcaster, Sagar worked as a model and an actress. She is also a fitness influence having worked in several cricket leagues like the Global T20 Canada, UP T20 League, and Bangladesh Premier League. 

She completed her graduation from Ludhiana's Khalsa College and then moved to Toronto to pursue her further studies from the Seneca College in Ontario.

Apart from her commitments with broadcasting, she has also featured in several music videos as well. As per IMDb, Yesha Sagar has worked in more than 30 music videos including Punjabi, Hindi and Telegu languages. She has garnered a lot of attention and fan following after featuring in a music video with comedian Kapil Sharma named "Guilt". Apart from Kapil Sharma, Yesha has also worked with famous Punjabi celebrities like Gippy Grewal, Parmish Verma, Babbu Maan and more.
