Gujarat Titans (GT) pacer Arshad Khan was the talk of the town on April 02 after he managed to dismiss legendary batter Virat Kohli during the RCB vs GT clash at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The RCB fans, who came out in large numbers to cheer for the Kohli-powered franchise, were dejected the moment Arshad got rid of the former RCB captain for just 7 runs.
Getting Kohli's wicket is probably the biggest achievement for any young fast bowler. Naturally, Arshad was over the moon as Kohli pulled a short delivery from the young GT pacer straight into the safe hands of Prasidh Krishna.

Who is Arshad Khan?
Arshad hails from Madhya Pradesh and is a left-arm medium pacer. The 27-year-old is also a pretty handy lower-order batter. The bowling all-rounder was first scouted by Mumbai Indians (MI) from junior-level cricket. The left-arm pacer was picked up for INR 20 lakh in the IPL 2020 auction. However, as fate would have it, Arshad was ruled out of the entire IPL season that year due to injury.
MI, persisted with him and rebought him in the IPL 2021 auction. The pacer picked up five wickets from six matches that season. In the mega auction in 2022, Arshad Khan was picked up by LSG, where he featured for two years till 2024. However, opportunities deserted the 27-year-old as he played just four games for LSG, picking just one wicket.
Arshad impressed with the bat for the Sanjiv Goenka-led franchise by smashing 58 runs against DC in the IPL 2024 season. In the mega auction, GT snapped him for INR 1.3 crores, and Arshad made his GT debut against RCB in place of Kagiso Rabada.

RCB fans troll Arshad Warsi instead of Arshad Khan after Kohli gets out cheaply against GT
As expected by RCB's childish and immature fans, they started attacking Arshad Khan on social media after he got rid of Virat Kohli. However, rather than venting out frustration on the GT pacer, they mercilessly attacked Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi instead. For the unversed, there is not yet a verified social media account of GT all-rounder Arshad Khan.
Speaking about the RCB vs GT clash, the latter easily won the game by eight wickets with 13 balls to spare. Jos Buttler's blistering 39-ball (73) runs enabled a smooth chase of 170-run target. On account of this thumping win, GT is now placed fourth on the points table.
