Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja then formed a partnership, taking their time at the crease. Despite taking multiple blows from the bowlers, Pant batted well until he was eventually trapped by Scott Boland, resulting in a catch in the extra cover region. Nitish Kumar Reddy was dismissed for a golden duck by Boland, who was now on a hat trick. However, Washington Sundar survived the hat trick ball. The collapse continued as Mitchell Starc dismissed Ravindra Jadeja and Prasidh Krishna. Jasprit Bumrah contributed with a quick 22 runs off 17 balls, helping India reach a total of 185.

Australian's Day

This innings was thoroughly dominated by Australia, showcasing their precise bowling. Scott Boland led the charge with impressive figures of 4/31, followed by Mitchell Starc's three wickets and Pat Cummins' two, forming the foundation for India’s collapse.
