Lancashire County Cricket Club (LCCC) has confirmed that Sanjiv Goenka, owner of the RPSG Group has bought majority stake at the Manchester Originals at The Hundred. The remaining 30 percent will continue to be owned by Lancashire Cricket Club.
The group has also entered into an exclusivity period after completing the formalities of roping in the English side. After the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL and the Durban Super Giants in the SA20, the Manchester Originals are the third cricket club owned by the Goenka Group.
The Sanjiv Goenka Group and Lancashire Cricket have worked to develop a collaborative joint venture framework to further their sporting ambitions with best practices shared between Lancashire Men, Lancashire Women, Lucknow Super Giants and Durban Super Giants.

LCCC Welcomes Sanjivv Goenka At Manchester Originals
The LCCC has come out with a statement after joining hands with Sanjiv Goenka in the Hundred. They said that both parties share the same vision with the franchise and will work towards achieving the same goal.
"The investment provides Manchester Originals with a global sporting partner which shares the Originals' aspiration to become a major part of the sporting landscape in Manchester - one of the world's leading sports cities - alongside its two famous football clubs," LCCC said.
The RPSG Group has also come out with a statement after their successful merger with the Manchester Originals in The Hundred.
"We respect the legacy of Lancashire Cricket and we welcome Manchester Originals to our RPSG family. We are committed to developing a deep bond with the players, support team and the whole community at large. We believe in excellence and see a huge potential to deliver good quality cricket for generations to come" Shashwat Goenka, vice-chairman of the RPSG Group said.
"We are very excited with this partnership, and we believe this gives us the impetus to chart a new experience for our fanbase. Together with Lancashire Cricket, it is our endeavour to provide an elevated and meaningful experience to everyone who loves cricket" he concluded saying.
The London Spirit and the Oval Invincibles kick off The Hundred 2025 season from August 5.
