Jasprit Bumrah Aggresion

The young Sam Konstas has been one of the busiest players both on and off the field since his debut for Australia in the fourth Test. The young lad seemingly began his career at its peak when he smashed Jasprit Bumrah for two sixes with a reverse scoop over the wicketkeeper.

Since that moment, he has had several memorable experiences, including a shoulder bump with Virat Kohli and celebrating with fans on the field, encouraging them to engage more. It was indeed a memorable debut for him.

However, Konstas didn't stop there. He had a notable confrontation with Jasprit Bumrah during the last few balls on day one of the fifth Test in Sydney. When Usman Khawaja, who was at the crease, was taking his time, Bumrah became frustrated. Out of nowhere, from the non-striker's end, Sam Konstas had a verbal exchange with Bumrah, which ultimately led to the wicket of Usman Khawaja.

In a recent interview, Konstas reflected on that moment, stating that he didn’t want it to happen again. He explained that he was just trying to waste time and ended up in a verbal exchange with Bumrah. He expressed his regret over the incident and mentioned that he would apologize to Usman Khawaja for his role in that wicket. Despite the confrontation, he praised Jasprit Bumrah for his incredible bowling.

Jasprit Bumrah, the Player of the Series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, was the series' highest wicket-taker, claiming 32 wickets at an average of 13.06. He also contributed with the bat, proving to be a key player throughout the tournament. Unfortunately, the rest of the Indian team did not rise to the occasion, which led to losing the series 3-1.

Sam Konstas also had the chance to discuss his admiration for Virat Kohli, mentioning that his family and he have always been big fans of the legendary player. He noted that while their on-field confrontation may have been tense, Kohli is one of the best people he has met off the field.

Overall, Sam Konstas has established himself as a typical Australian young lad and has secured his place in the squad. He has also been selected for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka, alongside Nathan McSweeney.
