Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman

In a massive blow to Mumbai Indians (MI) ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Allah Ghazanfar has been ruled out of the T20 tournament due to a fracture in the L4 vertebra, specifically in the left pars interarticularis. Fellow Afghan teammate Mujeeb Ur Rahman has now replaced Ghazanfar in the squad.

Ghazanfar shot into the limelight by outclassing teams like South Africa and Bangladesh. In his short ODI career so far, the 18-year-old has picked 21 wickets in just 11 games. Ghaanfar has featured in 19 T20 matches, he has 30 scalps at 13.50. It's his performance in ODIs, and franchise T20 Leagues that fetched Ghazanfar a hefty â‚ą4.80 crore in the IPL 2025 auction.

MI have also managed to rope in some excellent foreign stars in Trent Boult, Will Jacks, and Ryan Rickelton.
