Kolkata Knight Riders, the defending champions of the IPL, have launched their new jersey ahead of IPL 2025. They also kick off the season against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Kolkata on March 22.
The KKR-RCB rivalry will kick off the brand new season of the IPL. The final of the IPL 2025 will also be played in Kolkata on May 25.
The special thing about the jersey is that they have three stars on the shoulder symbolising their three iconic title wins. KKR won two titles under Gautam Gambhir in 2012 and 2014. 10 years later in 2024, under Gambhir's mentorship, KKR won their third IPL title.

Watch: KKR Unveiling Their New Jersey
On Tuesday, KKR's official Twitter handle shared a video of their new jersey. Manish Pandey, Rinku Singh and Venkatesh Iyer can be seen in this video wearing KKR's new jersey which has a golden sleeve.
"The stars have been registered by the date that we won each of the three titles - 27th May 2012, 1st June 2014 and 26th May 2024," said Binda Dey, Chief Marketing Officer of KKR in a release.
"To add to the legacy, KKR has taken its heritage beyond the pitch and into the cosmos — quite literally. By registering these three stars around the Gemini constellation in tribute to our IPL titles, we've created a first-of-its-kind celestial celebration. 'Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo' is now not just our motto - it's written in the stars" she further added.
The three starts represent KKR's motto of "Korbo. Lorbo, Jeerbo" which has been their slogan throughout their IPL journey that has seen them play every match with the belief that they are here to win.
Ajinkya Rahane Named New KKR Captain For IPL 2025
Meanwhile, KKR also confirmed their captain for the upcoming season. Ajinkya Rahane was named the captain for KKR ahead of IPL 2025. The Mumbai batsman is coming into this tournament after leading his domestic side Mumbai to the Ranji Trophy semi-final where they lost to Vidarbha. Rahane played a crucial role in Mumbai winning the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament recently by topping the run charts with 469 runs at an average of 58.62 and a stunning strike rate of 164.56.
Venkatesh Iyer whom KKR roped in for 23.75 Crores has been named Rahane's deputy. After the veteran Indian batter went unsold in the initial rounds of the auction, KKR finally added him to the squad for 1.50 Crores. This is Rahane's second stint with KKR after he previously played for the side in IPL 2022.
"We are delighted to have someone like Ajinkya Rahane, who brings his experience and maturity as a leader. Also, Venkatesh Iyer has been a franchise player for KKR and brings a lot of leadership qualities. We are confident that they will combine well as we start the defense of our title," KKR CEO Venky Mysore said.
