Family Restrictions
The Board of Control of Cricket India (BCCI) has introduced stricter rules regarding the presence of family members around the Player and Match Officials Areas during IPL matches. Family members of players and support staff are no longer allowed in the dressing room, even on practice days.Â
This restriction also applies on match days, with only accredited staff permitted in the dressing room and on the field. Family members and friends are allowed to travel separately and can watch team practice from the hospitality area.
Team Travel by Bus
Players are now required to travel by the team bus for both practice and match days. Teams may travel in two separate batches to maintain organization and order.

Fitness Tests Restrictions
The BCCI has prohibited fitness tests on the main square during match days, where physios typically test players' fitness before the match. This new rule aims to avoid disruptions to the playing area on match days.
Players Attire Regulations
To maintain uniformity, players must wear the Orange and Purple caps for at least two overs during matches. Additionally, during post match presentation ceremonies, players are required to avoid wearing sleeveless jerseys.

Extended Support Staff Protocol
Extended support staff, including throw-down specialists and net bowlers, must submit their names for approval to the BCCI. Once approved, they will receive non-match day accreditation to be present at training sessions and other related activities.
These new regulations were communicated to all IPL franchises following a Zoom meeting with team managers held on February 18.
