New Zealand stars like Rachin Ravindra, Mitchell Santner, and Devon Conway wont be part of the team for the five-match T20I series against Pakistan due to their contracts at Indian Premier League (IPL). All-rounder Michael Bracewell will lead the team, which sees seven of the players in the side that participated in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The NZ vs PAK series will start from March 16.
New Zealand suffered their fifth loss in the finals of the ICC event as India cruised to a four-wicket win in Dubai on Sunday. With the 18th season of the IPL commencing on March 22, New Zealand's IPL-bound players will skip the series. While Conway and Ravindra will turn out for CSK, Santner will be playing for MI. Apart from the trio, Glenn Philips, Lockie Ferguson, and Bevon Jacobs will also not feature for the Kiwis in their five-match T20 series against Pakistan due to IPL.
