Gujarat Titans (GT) bowlers were relentless with their line and length as they restricted Mumbai Indians to just 160 in a run chase of 197 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to win the game by 36 runs. It all started with Mohammed Siraj bowling terrifically well in the power play as he picked up both MI openers - Rohit Sharma (8), and Ryan Rickelton (6). Later, Prasidh Krishna bowled wonderfully and managed to regularly bowl stump-to-stump line.
Prasidh, who hits the deck hard, was difficult to get away as he conceded just 18 runs in his four overs and picked up two wickets. It was his spell that turned the match in favor of GT. He was so miserly in his spell, that MI just could not get any sort of momentum in the run chase. For MI, Suryakumar Yadav top scored with a 28-ball 48 runs, but the rest of the batters failed to strike the ball as fluently as Surya. Besides, Prasidh, off-spinner Sai Kishore was also effective as he finished with one for 37 runs in his four overs.

The duo of Kishore and Krishna were difficult to get away, as GT maintained their record against MI in Ahmedabad as they now have won four matches against MI.
GT successfully defend the total in Ahmedabad, as MI fails to put up a fight
Everybody expected MI to at least put a fight on board in pursuit of a 197-run chase. However, they just could not break free as GT bowlers kept coming thick and fast. Ishant Sharma was also very difficult to get away as he just gave 17 runs in his two overs. Overall, the four pacers of GT - Rabada, Siraj, Ishant, and Prasidh delivered the goods for GT.
MI have now lost two games on the bounce, and have a lot to ponder. Batting has looked a bit of color on both their losses against GT and CSK.
