Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood has cleared his fitness Test and will play for the Roal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2025. The Aussie pacer did not play in the recently concluded Champions Trophy due to a side strain.
In fact, the Australian pace trio of Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc all missed the Champions Trophy due to injury concerns and all are fit to start the season for their respective teams.
Hazlewood has been already deemed fit,  While Cummins is expected to lead SunRisers Hyderabad from their opening fixture itself, Starc will be in action with a new franchise in the Capitals after winning the title with Kolkata Knight Riders the previous season. While Cummins was suffering from an ankle injury, Starc too was suffering from an ankle injury as well.

Josh Hazlewood - Leader Of RCB Bowling Attack
Hazlewood's timely recovery is a major boost for the side. The side is already weak on the bowling front and the Australian pacer will add some substance to their bowling lineup. They previously released Mohammed Siraj ahead of the mega auction who joined Gujarat Titans ahead of IPL 2025.
RCB have been always been guilty of releasing bowlers who had previously done well for the. Yuzvendra Chahal who took 139 wickets for them was released ahead of IPL 2022 and now they have released Siraj as well. RCB managed to bag Hazlewood after an intense battle with other teams for INR 12.50 crore making him the most expensive overseas Australian player this season.
Alongside Josh Hazlewood, RCB have Indian pacers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yash Dayal to back him up. Bangalore went for the experienced Bhuvi as they decided to let go off Siraj. Dayal was retained despite a few ordinary seasons. Rasik Dar, Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma are the other options with the ball. They also have the likes of Romario Shepherd and Lungi Ngidi in their ranks as well.
