Indian Team Leaves For Dubai

The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma have made their way to Dubai to participate in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament starts from December 19 in Pakistan and India begin their campaign from December 20.

The Men in Blue will play all their matches in Dubai. They play their first match against Bangladesh on February 20 followed by matches against Pakistan (February 23) and New Zealand (March 2).

India recently clean-swept England 3-0 in an ODI series at home and thus the confidence of the Indian team will be sky-high. Meanwhile, the Indian fans are keenly looking forward to the epic India-Pakistan clash on February 23.

As per reports in IANS, the Indian team were to leave for Dubai in two batches but the BCCI then made arrangements for the team to travel together after their newly-laid guidelines last month.

The BCCI after India's Test series losses to New Zealand and Australia came up with a 10-point diktat that had a few new guidelines written for the team to follow. One of the main points in that was that the team will travel together for every series from now on after players preferred to travel personally before BCCI's involvement.

Talking about India's Champions Trophy Squad, they will be without their premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah who has been ruled out with a back injury that he picked up in the final Test against Australia in Sydney. Harshit Rana was named as his replacement. Varun Chakravarthy was also a last-minute addition to the squad after his brilliant performance in the T20I series against England at home recently.

Meanwhile, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was originally in the team is among the substitutes now alongside Mohd Siraj and Shivam Duve. The trio will fly to Dubai if they are required.
