From hitting 6 sixes in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) to slamming a maiden ton in IPL 2025, the world is at his feet now. However, the 24-year-old remains humble and recounted meeting Gautam Gambhir for the first time in his life. The youngster also revealed how Gambhir gifted him a brand new kit bag in the Ranji Trophy camp.

Priyansh Arya, with his 103-run knock in 39 deliveries, is now the joint 5th fastest batter in the Indian Premier League to score a ton. That being said, Arya also recounted how he constantly trains on his mental attributes to perfect his game. After being dismissed on a golden duck by Jofra Archer, Arya found his groove to slam a stunning century.

Special Bond With Gautam Gambhir
Arya also has a close connection with Indian Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir. He revealed that he used to watch Gambhir bat in the nets. He also said that Gambhir had gifted him a brand new kitbag when he made it to the Delhi Ranji Trophy camp for the very first time.
"When I was young, my sir (coach) used to tell me to observe Gautam Gambhir's batting and learn. So we used to do that and watch him play. He used to bat in the nets like he used to play matches. He never used to play a rash shot. These things taught me a lot," Arya said in a media interaction.
"I remember the first time that I spoke with him. I had gone into the Ranji Trophy camp for the very first time. I was batting in the nets and then he called me. The very next day, he gifted me his brand-new kit bag," Priyansh Arya concluded.
