Gautam Gambhir was backed up by Harsdhit Rana, the KKR bowler and now India player after Manoj Tiwary's recent controversial statements on the India head coach.
The matter escalated after Manoj Tiwary in a recent interview with News 18 Bangla called him a "hypocrite". He even mentioned that Gambhir was given all the credit for KKR's title wins in 2012 and 2014 despite contributions from other players. He highlighted how the same thing happened when KKR won their third title in 2014.
Meanwhile, backing up Gautam Gambhir, Harshit Rana responded to the comments by Tiwary without taking his name on his Instagram story.
"Critcising someone due to personal insecurities is not good. Gauti bhaiya is someone who thinks more for others than himself. He always backs players when they are down and put them in limelight when things go our way. He has shown this on multiple occasions. He has a lot of knowledge on how to turn games in your favor " Rana wrote.
Former KKR player and captain Nitish Rana has also backed his former Delhi skipper after the recent unwanted criticism he faced. He said criticism should be based on facts and not personal insecurities.
"Criticism should be based on facts not personal insecurities. Gauti bhaiyya is one of the most selfless players I’ve ever met. He shoulders responsibility in times of distress like no other. Performance doesn’t need any PR. The trophies speak for themselves" Rana wrote on his Twitter handle.
