Chennai Super Kings IPL 2025

Former CSK pacer Tushar Deshpande has slammed media reports mentioning about his injury and him being ruled out for a few months from the game.

Tushar Deshpande, who played the previous season for Chennai Super Kings was released by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.

The pacer who had a defining season in IPL 2023, has reportedly dismissed claims of him being ruled out for the next two to three months due to ankle injury.

On January 16, there were reports of him being sidelined for a couple of months due to injury. Several media houses reported the story. However, now Deshpande has himself denied any such reports claiming them to be fake news.

"FAKE NEWS!!!! UNACCEPTABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL to NOT authenticate the news before posting !! I look at it as a very cheap move to gain a few extra views on your page! " Deshpande wrote responding to the tweet regarding his injury rumors.

Tushar Deshpande played for the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2023 and IPL 2024. He took 21 wickets for CSK in 2023 and 17 for them in 2024. His performances with the franchise paved his international T20I debut against Zimbabwe in 2024.

He has been picked up by Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 mega auction. The pacer was signed up by the Royals for a whopping 6.5 crores. The pacer has honed his skills as a bowler with CSK. He was used primarily inside the powerplay and at the death by MS Dhoni primarily.

Talking about Deshpande, he missed out on a spot in India's T20I side for the England series. However, it is not due to any injury concerns but purely because of the healthy competition within the Indian side. He has played just T20Is for India but is promising enough to play all formats for the side.
