England are playing archrivals Australia in their opening Champions Trophy fixture game in Lahore. Steve Smith won the toss and inserted England in. However, the Three Lions have not been able to get to a flying start as they have managed only 108 runs in the first 15 overs of the innings, losing two wickets in the process. Phil Salt's lean run continued as he was dismissed for just (10) runs, while Jamie Smith was the other wicket to fall for (15).
Australia's new ball bowlers Spencer Johnson, and Ben Dwarshuis found some movement and were rewarded for maintaining hard lengths. The former picked up both the wickets to fall. However, both the dismissals Dwarshuis owes to Alex Carey, who managed to take stunning catches. The first catch was simply mind-blowing as the ball was traveling off the blade of Phil Salt. Carey, who was not wicketkeeping, put a full-fledged dive, moved to his right from mid-on, and plucked the ball with his right hand.
Later, Carey also went on to pick another catch of Jamie Smith, but that was comparitively an easier one.

Ben Duckett & Joe Root steady England's innings
After the two early blows, England managed to rebuild the innings through Duckett and Root. The former was the aggressor of the two, as he kept attacking the Australian bowlers. Root has dropped anchor and is looking good to convert his start into a good score.
