Virat Kohli Ranji Trophy Delhi vs Railways

Virat Kohli will be returning to domestic cricket with the Delhi vs Railways match starting from January 30. This is the first domestic match Kohli will be playing in the last 12 overs.

There has been a huge build-up regarding Kohli's return to domestic cricket. All the senior players of the Indian cricket team were asked to play domestic cricket after their collective batting failure in the series against Australia.

Virat Kohli scored 190 runs while Indian skipper Rohit Sharma scored just 31 runs. Other Indian stars like KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill have also been asked to play domestic cricket.

Meanwhile, there is some good news for Virat Kohli fans. After previous reports of the Delhi vs Railways Ranji match not getting a broadcaster, fresh reports now say that the match will be live-streamed on Jio Cinema. The update has confirmed that fans will be able to watch Delhi vs Railways live on their streaming devices as Kohli makes a return to domestic red-ball cricket after a gap of 12 years.

Virat Kohli To Not Lead Delhi vs Railways

Reports in ANI further say that the Delhi Ranji team management even asked Virat Kohli to lead the side in this match but he declined  'Let Ayush Badoni continue. I don't want to lead". Thus former Indian skipper further said that he would be happy to give his inputs to the young skipper when needed.

Since the last few days, Kohli has been practicing with the Delhi Ranji team. His photos from the practice session have gone viral on social media. Also, he has been practicing with Sanjay Bangar, the former RCB batting coach to work on a few technical elements of his batting.

The Ranji Trophy group stage matches would conclude on February 2, just four days before the ODI series between India and England. Both Rohit and Virat will be playing the ODI series against England before venturing into the Champions Trophy. India reached the finals of the last Champions Trophy edition in 2017 but lost the final eventually to Pakistan.
