Virat Kohli yet again proved there is no better player than him in the history of chasing in ODI cricket as his 84 runs off 98 balls enabled India an easy four-wicket win over Australia in the ongoing Champions Trophy semi-final in Dubai. Kohli played the anchor role in the pursuit of a 265-run chase and took the attack to the opposition. He got support from various partners such as Shreyas Iyer (43), and Axar Patel (27), and KL Rahul's unbeaten knock of (42) helped India eventfully get over the line. India now enter's CT final and will now await their opponents - either South Africa or New Zealand.
India's innings got off to an inauspicious start as they lost in-form Shubman Gill for just (8) runs. Skipper Rohit Sharma showed intent in the powerplay but failed to convert his start of (28) runs into a solid match-winning score. However, Kohli - the master of run chases, soaked up all the pressure and took calculative risks. He did not try to dominate spinners in the middle overs. Rather, he happily allowed Shreyas and Axar to play the attacking shots. Kohli's calm presence at the crease kept putting pressure on Australia.

By the time he was out, the match was in India's pocket. Rahul and Pandya completed the formalities as India finally beat Australia in an ODI knockout match after a long time.

India dominate Australia, hunt for another ICC trophy within a year
India's dominant run in CT continued as they have so far played four games and won all four. Its fair to say all of those wins were very dominant. India have so far mastered the Dubai conditions, and will be hoping to add third CT trophy in thier cabinet.
