Points Table Details

The Ranji Trophy follows a league format with a points system to determine the standings at various stages of the tournament. Each team earns points based on their performance in matches, with 6 points awarded for a win, 3 points for a draw, and 1 point for a first-inning lead in a drawn game. The tournament is divided into multiple stages, beginning with the league phase, where teams are grouped into Elite and Plate divisions.

The top teams from the Elite division advance to the knockout stage, culminating in the final. A total of 38 teams compete in the tournament, with teams such as Mumbai, Saurashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, and others vying for the title. The league stage consists of several rounds of matches, with each team playing a total of 5-6 games before the knockout stage begins.
